BAD PIGGIE

Coastal Chocolate Hazy IPA

Role: Brand Identity / Packaging Graphic Design / Media Assets.
Created: 2024 - 2025

Deliverables: Full label design (packaging), Product copywriting, Packaging mockups, Visual brand guidelines.

Project Overview: Described as “mud suds”, boasting 8% Vol. robust, savory, and hints of cacao. Pacific Island inspired iconography including the tribal, triple-stacked “OINK” silhouette, a prominent logo mark—tying into the coastal culture the brand caters to. Hooves and utters decorate the can, reminiscent of unapologetic burps.

Strategy: Lean into character. Develop a brand logo that communicates tone and instantly signals a flavor-forward beverage. Pair illustration with clean, smart structure to avoid visual chaos. Design packaging that feels premium but approachable, standing out in both boutique grocers and online markets. Let humor and tone drive copy, while maintaining visual clarity and vibes.

Objective: To build a brand identity that breaks away from cliché “butcher block” aesthetics and repositions animals themed CPG as design-worthy, shelf-friendly, and full of personality. The challenge was to create a label instantly recognizable, yet flexible enough to support future product expansion.

Target Audience: Design-conscious consumers with a taste for nostalgia, bold flavors, and standout packaging. Millennials and Gen Z snackers seeking alternative beverage options that don’t take themselves too seriously. Hops lovers who appreciate both indulgence and the presence of brand originality.
